Valentine's Treats, Sneezy Easy
Okay, so no sneezing was allowed or happened during my little unbaking process. That's right. There is no baking involved here. But with all the sickness that has occurred around this house this past week, I'm beginning to feel the need to sneeze, sniffle, wipe snot, cough, whine, sleep, cough up hairballs and be eternally grateful for Ibuprofen and strong antibiotics. And I'm not even sick yet. I will be. Once my 3 loved ones are well and back up and at em', then I'll be sick.............and they can all take care of me. I know, I'm dreaming. They won't take care of me like I have with them. There will be no homemade chicken noodle soup made, nobody serving me Vernors, handing me my meds or repeatedly sticking a thermometer into my mouth to see if my temp registers or not.
It's been a long week around here and I'm about sick of kids and husband being sick!
Let's just say, I'm hoping that after slaving over these yummy treats, my kids better be well enough to jump on that bus in the morning. I do not want these PMS munchies around any longer!
Plus......I have more sweets brewing in my kitchen that will have to be eaten and surely not by me! More on that recipe later, if I don't ruin it.
Mom, please quit laughing at me! I actually do like to cook and bake now!
Okay, these are so friggin' easy to make, it embarasses me to no end that I never made them before. You want to know why? Because I had no idea Almond Bark existed and I had no clue what the heck it was! And, please don't laugh( I know my mom and sister are though)I was afraid of burning it during the melting process. Hello, have you heard of a microwave? Yes, key advice here. Microwave.
My blogging friend Angie, shared this recipe before Christmas. I made it. It scored big with everyone I met and now it is being shared with you. I'm sure you are all thinking " Man, does this girl ever get out of her house?" Sorry to say, but any new recipe I find and I can make without destroying or burning everything, will stay with me always! Thank you Angie! I heart you!
All you need are sprinkles of every shape and size and color, well except I used Valentine's colors of course. Rice Chex cereal, pretzels, M & M's, and almond bark(white and chocolate). I didn't add peanuts to this batch, just because I don't need these to come home with my kids tomorrow because "Mom, you can't serve foods with peanuts in them." Food allergies............ah right!
So I added chocolate chips for more bling and well, for more chocolate!
Just spread it all out after mixing up the Chex, pretzels, and M & Ms, melt your bark, and drizzle away baby. After you're done drizzling and licking your bark off that spoon or fork, and you're done barking about it, add your sprinkles and just go crazy! I mean with the sprinkles! There is so much pink and chocolate here folks. Two of my favorite colors.
Oh and heck, how did this get in with this? Ugh! Look! It's a little Miss Martha reject slaving away in her kitchen!
Ahem, I need to wipe off that smug look. Yooper actually shot this with my camera which was set to Manual, and snapped away this look on my face as I was telling him he "wouldn't be able to figure out my camera". And it turned out......the bugger. Why don't you go back to being sick and quit bugging me? Just because you educated yourself in vet school for 8 years..............................shouldn't you have your arm up a cow's hiney or something?
So go make these! Easy, Easy, Sneezy, so incredibly yummy!

Oh - dont you just hate it when everyone is sick?!
That easy sneezy yummy-looking thing with sprinkles on looks delicious!
mmmmmm..those look yummy! The problem is I would sit and eat the whole batch until the husband pryed the bowl out of my chocolately sweet hands! It would be a fight!
